I've been to Stockholm this weekend. Spent the Saturday and Sunday in the company of Chastise, a (female) friend of mine, watching movies, talking and generally attempting to be social. It worked out rather well in my opinion, she is rather relaxed and open and its been easier and easier to relax around her.
Then, came Monday. After some time alone in Stockholm, walking around the old part of town, The tourist-traps and lemming-streets, I waited for
ahnion at the station, met him, had another walk through town, and then walked out to "
circus" and
Jethro Tull.
They started out with "That saturday feeling" (I think;) and then "Crosseyed Mary". After that, I was in musical heaven and didn't care much to recall the titles and order, and after a few more of their humorous introductions (among those of "Roots to Branches" and "Thick as a Brick") I would have needed a notepad to take it all down and get it all set firmly. I'll be satisfied to state, they were great, powerful, enigmatic and full of energy on the stage.
They played a lot of songs, A full 2 hour set of them, with music from versions of "J.S. Bach" to Ian Andersons solo albums, passing most of their old and new works, highlights featuring "Hunt by Numbers" and other songs. In short,
YOU MISSED SOMETHING GREAT!
